My love for photography started at a very young age. As a young girl, one of my favorite past times was sorting through old family photographs. This was one way to piece together thoughts of my heritage, my distant relatives and my connection to them. My favorite photographs were the candid shots. They were the ones that showed true emotion and energy between people. And that's what it's all about. Connections.
I've been photographing weddings and events since 2003. I received my BFA in Photography from Massachusetts College of Art. In the past, I shared my love for photography and taught both private classes and classes at the Attleboro Museum Center for the Arts. I have assisted on editorial shoots for magazines such as O, The Oprah Magazine; Newsweek; The New York Times; This Old House and Prevention. My artwork has been exhibited in multiple Fine Art galleries throughout the New England area.
During your event, my goal is to focus on documenting the intimate, candid moments between everyone. While being unobtrusive, I pay close attention to the smallest details, as they often provide the most telling memories. Throughout the event, I shoot both traditionally and candid.
As an artist, I have found photographing weddings and events very fulfilling. It has allowed me to meet a great number of wonderful people. It is a great feeling to help others express their own lives through art. It is a true honor when my clients tell me that my images have captured the true spirit of the ones they love.
